Product details

CD weld pin
weld point options.

Both designs are available in all listed materials. Weld point height can be adjusted to suit the order.

Five-point star

Five-point star

A star-shaped welding end with a raised contact point.

Small cone

Small cone

A conventional small conical projection at the welding end.

Weld point height and base thickness vary with pin diameter and production batch. Confirm any specific geometry requirements on your drawing.

Welding compatibility

Matching CD weld pins
to the substrate.

For stainless steel substrates, we recommend a corresponding stainless steel pin. Welding performance depends on the substrate material and surface, pin diameter and equipment settings.

Tests with our paired equipment have used substrates of 0.6 mm and above. Validate your actual setup by trial welding; thinner sheet may burn through or produce an inadequate weld.

Coated or painted surfaces need testing with the actual coating and substrate.

Order planning

CD weld pin lead time
and packing.

Standard specifications 2–3 days
Reference lead time for orders up to 100,000 pieces, when raw materials are available.
Custom specifications 7–10 days
Reference lead time for custom orders up to 100,000 pieces.
Post-forming plating +5–7 days
Additional time for standard orders requiring plating after forming. Custom orders with post-forming plating are quoted separately.

Standard packing uses cartons. Bag quantities, carton quantities and custom wooden cases can be agreed based on pin length and order size.

Lead times are estimates and are confirmed with the order.

Before you order

CD weld pin FAQs.

Share your specification, quantity and any welding or documentation requirements.

What should I include in an enquiry?

Material or stainless steel grade, diameter, length, weld point type and quantity. Include a drawing or reference image if you have one, and specify any non-standard length measurement or tolerance requirement.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is no fixed minimum order quantity for CD weld pins. The quotation depends on your specification and quantity. Special zinc coating thickness requirements may have order quantity conditions and are confirmed individually.

Can I request a welding test?

Yes. We can discuss a trial weld using the requested pin material, a corresponding metal plate and paired welding equipment, with a recording made on request. Test conditions should reflect your intended setup.

Can material documentation be provided?

Raw material supplier documentation can be requested, particularly for stainless steel grades. Tell us the documents you need before ordering.

How do I specify a custom pin?

Send the material, diameter, length and quantity, together with a drawing for any special weld point geometry or dimensional requirements. Final production details are confirmed with the order.
