Applications & installation

Rubber foam insulation
for HVAC ducts and pipes.

Rubber foam rolls are widely used in the HVAC industry to insulate air ducts, chilled-water and refrigerant piping, and air-handling equipment, where the closed-cell structure helps limit heat gain and condensation. They are also used on plumbing and refrigeration lines, tanks and other equipment. Supplied as flexible sheet rather than rigid board, the material can be cut to suit large or irregular surfaces.

Standard rolls are cut to size and bonded with an adhesive suited to the substrate and installation requirements, with the joints sealed. For self-adhesive rolls, check that the surface is clean, dry and suitable for bonding, then peel off the release liner and press the material down progressively.

Aluminium foil tape is the matching accessory for sealing seams and joints.
